Boulevard

At the endpoint
The pine grapples the land
Do not step forward!
Fallen leaves scorch the soaring range of hills
The one you are waiting for shall turn up in a winter day
Behind her, the black storm trains the seagull’s heart.
I cleave to my childhood’s grill
The more sear my yearning,
The more distant eternity.
